If you didn’t go to high school in the 50’s or 60s, don’t bother watching this video or reading my “essay”.
If you did go to high school in the 50’s or 60’s you might enjoy this 5 min. video and my essay. The video is straight from YouTube. A friend introduced me to it. I had nothing to do with the video, other than put it in this essay for people to watch. You draw your own conclusions.
If you’ve already seen it, it’s worth another watch… lots of fun memories.
A couple of weeks ago, after watching this video, someone asked, “Just one question, where oh where has that land gone that made me, me?”
The American voters started voting that land into oblivion way back in the early 60’s, and didn’t even realize it. We pulled it off by continually re-electing most of the same folks that had been causing our problems in the first place. To be diplomatic, voters have been, and still are, very reckless. So, “Goodbye to the land that made me, me, and you, you.” Now… that’s where it went, and it’s not coming back. It’s our own stupid fault, because we consistently re-elected most of the same folks that caused our land to go away. As Edith always said; that nasal sounding switchboard operator from the 60’s TV show Laugh-In… “And that’s the truth”,

SORRY, BUT GHOSTS OF VOTERS FROM THE PAST MESSED WITH ME WHILE I WAS TAKING THIS PICTURE
Loved your essay. It brought back many happy – and sad – memories of those who used to entertain us. 😉
Thank you.
